Join us this February for a special Yoga Workshop Series led by Corinne! These 75 min workshops are designed for students who are wanting to progress their physical practice in a safe and supportive environment. Over the four weeks, each workshop will have elements of strength, conditioning, and flexibility training to work towards some of the more intermediate poses you find in Flow and Power Flow classes. Whether you’re aiming to improve your backbends, balance in an arm pose, or simply flow with more control, you’ll find a workshop suited to your goals. You’re welcome to book individual workshops or register for all four to dive fully into your summer of growth on the mat!
Week 4 – Fluid transitions - Saturday 22nd February 2025
This workshop centres on enhancing body awareness through core activation, coordination, and control, all while having fun! Learn how to move seamlessly from one pose to the next, improving your flow and enhancing your overall practice. This workshop aims to leave you feeling more connected and confident in your transitions.
ALL WORKSHOPS
Week 1 - Backbends - Saturday 1st February 2025
In this workshop we’ll explore poses that open the front of the body and strengthen the back, creating a balance of flexibility and stability. Together we will warm up the spine and build toward deeper poses focusing on alignment and safety. Through guided exercises, you’ll gain a better understanding of the anatomy of backbends and leave with targeted movements to safely progress at home.
Week 2 – Arm balances - Saturday 8th February 2025
This workshop offers techniques to build strength, stability and confidence while working towards arm balance poses. We’ll explore foundational elements like wrist alignment, core engagement, and balance to help you to access poses such as bakasana (crow pose). You’ll gain practical tips on body positioning as you learn to fly!
Week 3 – Awakening asanas - Saturday 15th February 2025
Awakening poses invite space into the body, encouraging length, flexibility, and mobility. During this workshop we will work to promote freedom in the hamstrings, hips and shoulders while deepening our understanding of muscular engagement and the role of the breath.
